Leather Characteristics

This vegetable-tanned leather is top grade, full grain and has a nice supple feel with subtle firmness. Minerva is a vacchetta leather that is infused with a special blend of Italian fat wax giving it the famous hand and feels attributed to the vacchetta name. This leather has a beautiful smooth grain with a beautiful depth to the leather colour and will have an amazing patina as it ages. It is dyed completely through and has a nice soft flesh side. This vegetable-tanned leather has a great feel in the hand and it is easy to cut and skive.  


A rich history of tannery 

This collection of straps is made with the finest vegetable-tanned full-grain leather from the renowned tannery — Badalassi Carlo. The tannery is one of the 20 members of the consortium of Pelle Conciata al Vegetale, which regulates, preserves, and guarantees the production of vegetable-tanned leather made in Tuscany through its quality trademark: Pelle Conciata al Vegetale in Toscana //Tuscan Vegetable-Tanned Leather.

The use of this quality trademark is bound to the observance of the Technical Production Regulations that all member tanneries are committed to respecting.

Full-grain leather is the strongest & most durable of all the leather grades. It displays the most natural characteristics of the leather, & is known to last you for more than a decade with proper care.
